Poetry
And Beyond
Of Knowledge and Courage
Bunch of people shuffling about
From point A to point B
And there the idler
Mind full of great thoughts
Yet in human experience
Remains to be empty
Out of the window you see
The conatus in thee
Participate in its movement
In the grandest of all stories
Can’t deny what he calls will
Intertwined in the body
Hold on to your nihilism
Mere vitamin deficiency
In the big scheme of things
Still counts as beauty
Happiness is in action said he
Who realized desire and vitality
Ventured unhindered by platitudes
Emboldened by courage
Dared conceive of epistemology
Organizing vibrations of strings
Turn to quarks like a medley
The atoms into molecules, into organs
Microscopic, yet capable of mastery
This three-pound mass of infinity
